This being my first street fair participating in provided to be a great starter fest. The tent cost was minimal split with another artist and also being in Michigan I had a lot of family/friends stop by to show support. The other vendors tents were more for arts/crafts while not to many provided original artwork. I was even told by one person who purchased my piece, “this is not the fest for you but your artwork is beautiful.” All in all it was a great experience and I definitely look forward to participating in another street fest.

Trying to get out there and participate in the summer street fairs. My first is one close to home, the Allen Park, MI street fair. It has been a few years I have attended this fair but it seems like a good way to work out the kinks/get familiar with the process. I will be splitting the booth with fellow artist Beto.
I will have a cooler so be sure to stop by and hang out for a bit.
My works that I will be showing will be an extension of the works from the IIDA Bizarre Bazaar event last November 2016. The items will be simple, clean and each unique. I am using the technique of screen printing but adding a random paint placement to make each piece unique. The color way will continue to be White, Red and Black. The screen is a large 20″ circle that has a halftone dynamic at the edge of the circle. Pieces will be 24×36 overall.
Also the simple red balloon is making a return with limited press 😉
Below are the event details:
