This event I created and have watched it grow. It’s hard to not be involved, I still feel like it will fall if I am not carrying the torch.
I had the great opportunity to be a part of the inaugural Chicago Textile Week.
ICFF is jammed packed every year, from sight seeing/music listening/ to gettin all handsy.
People often say that this event is “rigged” regardless of how you put it. It’s a great event that creates waves that can be ridden for marketing purposes, friendly banter and pay promotions. Either way you cut it, you want to and need to win.
I left this year’s RED awards feeling inspired and encouraged. Although the back patting most of the time feels fake, this event to me still has it’s fair share of genuine smiles.
